My 7 Day Goa Trip

Goa is the best destination for tourist worldwide. The beaches, the history & the fun. Goa is always full of life. Goa trip was one of my best Holiday ever. I am sharing my experience from those 7 days spent too well.

1.Baggage and packing

Extra baggage always becomes the pain of head. Goa is a chilled out place. We are not needed heavy clothing’s and belongings with us. I went to Goa for first time and took lots of clothes and other accessories. I enjoyed the best of Goa wearing just a t-shirt and one Denim short everyday. What all I actually used were a Lotus Sunscreen and my Fossil Glares with my unlaced shoes that I could take off easily to go in water.

  1. Travel and vehicles

I took my Economy ticket from Indigo flight in the evening from IGI Airport Delhi. It took me some 2 hours to reach Goa Airport. From there we hired a taxi from the transport services available there on the airport. All services asked for the govt. approved fixed fares for all the destinations displayed outside the airport. For Rest of the days we rented a scooty that did cost 250 bugs for a day without fuel. I personally experienced Scooty and bikes are the best medium to explore the beauty of Goa.

  1. Hotels and stay

We booked the hotel already for 6 days through oyo room services in easy steps by mobile Application without any booking charges. We called up the hotel to ask for the confirmation. We did reach the hotel at 10pm and found food fortunately. We got options to select among luxury and premium property by OYO at very affordable prices with complimentary breakfast. The hotel was a very good stay with all the amenities.

  1. Food and Drinks

I am a vegetarian So I did not have many options in Goan Style food. We can find all types of food there according to personal choices. All the Liquor shops are closed by 9pm in Goa though serving time is still till 11pm.

  1. Shopping in Goa

There is nothing specific that’s just available in Goa. There are many flare markets to buy clothes and accessories. Parolem is the place for shopping in Goa But its very far from Airport and we decided not to go there just for shopping.

  1. Explore unexplored Beaches

Goa is a huge beauty of Nature. There are many island and villages which are not explored commonly. Do not follow just the tour guide. Also, make your own adventure to explore the unexplored.

  1. Fairy and cruise in Goa

Goa is a place of sea and back waters. In Panaji, We were surprised to know the fairy in the back waters let the passengers and vehicles pass the river for free of cost from one shore to another. They just charge 5 bugs for four wheeler. It connects the small islands to main town in Panaji.

  1. Green islands and small villages

In the fairy we reached to a very beautiful and green island a village of Goa . There I felt like not coming back. Again we boarded the fairy from there and came back to Panaji.

  1. Historical Monuments

Goa is history teller itself. It says the arrival and lifestyle of Portuguese’s. Panaji is a beautiful and clean             capital of Goa. St Xavier’s church and Aguada fort is something worth to visit at least once.

  1. Waterfalls in Goa

There are beautiful waterfalls in Goa. Major one is “Doodhsagar” fall and can be reached by train as well. I also visited the small one “Arvelam” waterfall which was equally beautiful.

  1. Night life

Night life is actually the day life of Goa. Tourist comes out on beaches and clubs to dance and booze. I went to many clubs and would advise not to go tito’s as the crowd and standered is not good as per money. We did like LPK and Mambo’s. There are many other shacks where one can find good music, drinks and food.

Have a blast in Goa and do share your memories with us JJJ
