We would like to share an invitation with you regarding a solo art exhibition “SILENCE OF THE HEAVENS” focusing on global warming by Mr Mamoon Nomani, Head Fine Art, Jamia Millia Islamia. The exhibition is starting from today 29th February 2016 and will end on 6th March 2016 at Lalit Kala Academy, Rabindra Bhawan, New Delhi. Prof. Talat Ahmed, VC, Jamia Millia Islamia inaugurated the exhibition.
Mr Mamoon Nomani had to say, In this series of paintings the abstract geometric forms and static patterns are the result of my decade’s long practice and patience. My use of forms often creates optical illusions that trickily present altered perceptions, playing with the dimensions of weight, height and perspective.
I am drawn to texture, heavy impastos and often packs areas with substantial relief. Some of these paintings are also influenced from global warming. The vast black skies and color changing sun represents my deep concern toward this environmental problem. Light and form are used to enhance the psychedelic intent of my simple yet effective visual vocabulary. And I assume that I oscillate between the dualities of darkness and light, of chaos and order.
Feel the silence of heaven with this art flow at Kala Academy, New Delhi.
Asking questions are actually nice thing when you are not
understanding something totally, however this post provides
pleasant understanding even.
